‘Why Were Sydney & James Pretending That They’re Chocolate Donuts?’

Sydney and James love to play Hide & Go Seek. They run around the house laughing and chasing each other. Syd gets a big kick out of picking up her Kid Brother. She often acts like she’s the ‘Strong Lady’ at the circus. I’ve seen her do the same thing to some of her smaller friends at pre school. Syd and James were on the hunt for Joe Bill. They realized that he was in our laundry room. They tried and tried to get the door open but they were unsuccessful. Syd thought of a sneaky and brilliant way to draw JB out of his hiding place. Syd announced that she and James would pretend to be CHOCOLATE DONUTS! She was sure that would get JB to open the door and she was right! By the way, Syd and sometimes James go to Starbucks with JB on Saturday mornings…so she knows his weakness for chocolate donuts! It was a Red Letter Day when nearly 18 month old Baby Jack came over. Syd (5 1/2) and James (4) love feeding and playing with their ‘little brother!’ They always have fun together. All of us enjoy being with Mommy Gigi and Daddy Joel. JB and I want everyone to know that Daddy Jimmy’s first ‘Sound & Cinema’ Event on the Lawn of the Long Center was a huge success this Summer. Hundreds of people heard the free concerts and watched some of the most popular classic films of all time. Good job, Jimmy! The Jewish High Holidays are very early this year. May this be a sweet New Year for all. Rosh Hashanah, the beginning of the Jewish New Year, started at sundown yesterday evening. Yom Kippur begins at sundown on Friday, September 13th.
