With the New Year comes changes to“The Sydney Chronicles Including Her Kid Brother James”and to “Jack’s Journal.”The original Websites couldn’t hold any more photos, videos or stories.
We’ve set up a new and improved Website as well as changed the name to “The Sydney & James Chronicles.”Also, because Gigi and Joel are having another boy at the end of March “Jack’s Journal”will have a new name this Spring.
Everybody is happy about the new baby!
Sydney and James treat Jack like he’s their little brother. They’re excited that they’ll have another brother in their lives!
Sydney, James and Jack continue to bring us a lot of joy. They’re still sweet, smart and funny.
Now that Syd is nearly 8, it’s harder for me to convince her that I’m only 33…which would make me YOUNGER than her Mommy Skyler. The other day I said that JB and I’ve lived in Austin for 30 years. Without missing a beat Syd joked: “That means that you’ve been here since you were 3 years old!!!” We all had a good laugh.
James, who’s 6, always impresses me with his knowledge about cell phones and other devices. None of The Kids ever use my cell because I don’t have any games on it. In fact, I don’t have any apps. James borrowed my phone the other day so he could text his Mommy. When he finished he started scrolling thru my phone. He immediately pulled up 1,200 of my pictures. These weren’t shots that I’ve taken with my phone. I don’t know how he did that. Later when I went to use my phone after he left, I discovered that mischievous James had installed a screensaver that was a picture of him in his very scary Green Goblin costume! I think it’s funny.
Jack was sleeping at our house New Year’s Eve. He’s spent the night here since he was an infant. At bedtime Jack asked me a question that surprised me. He wanted to know: “What are my OPTIONS?” The boy is only 3 and he’s talking about OPTIONS! After a little investigation on my part, I learned that both Gigi and Joel frequently use the word OPTIONS…well, now so does Jack!
