Sydney often isn’t interested in a toy or a book until Baby James picks it up. A perfect example is what happened the other day in our car when we were driving The Kids after preschool.
Baby James was looking at a cute little book that Syd hasn’t paid attention to in ages. Syd was asking him to hand it to her. Baby James kept telling her no. Then Syd game up with a new game plan. She told her naïve Kid Brother that the book was broken and that she’d fix it for him. Baby James kept resisting but finally fell under her charms.
Sydney Marie Stewart, who knew that the book didn’t need to be repaired, just started reading it. Baby James began asking for his book back. As Syd kept turning down his requests, he kept getting more and more upset. Finally, I stepped in and told Syd that she had to give him back his book, which she did.
Then Syd came up with this classic line: “You know, Baby James, we’re suppose to SHARE!”
Syd and Baby James love to get dressed up in Halloween costumes, even when they’re not headed out for a party. I’m not sure if you noticed in my last set of pictures that the giraffe costume that Syd was wearing was a little small for her. It’s meant for an 18 MONTH OLD BABY. Syd wears a toddler 4 size. Sydney, Child Fashionista and Style Icon, figured out how to wiggle her way into it. It’s the costume that Baby James chose to wear on Halloween night.
