‘Sydney & James Were Somewhere UNDER The Rainbow!’

Writer's picture: DeDe WatkinsDeDe Watkins

The other day I was complimenting Sydney and James telling them that I was very proud of the way that they acted around 6 months old Baby Jack Melrose when he and his parents, Gigi and Joel, came over to swim. For the past couple of months I've been giving The Kids 'Etiquette Lessons' about how to treat the Baby when they get to be with him.

I pointed out that I was happy that they hadn't dropped Baby Jack and that they didn't talk too loud around him.

With a smile on his adorable face James added: "And we didn't poop on the Baby!" Then with an even wider grin James blurted out: "And the Baby didn't poop on us!" We're all happy about that! Good job, James, Sydney and Baby Jack!

But I must reveal that James was NAKED at the time I took the cute picture of him, Syd and Baby Jack that I posted September 24th. We couldn't get James to put his swim diaper back on. We figured if the Baby was sitting on him no one could see his NAKEDNESS! I certainly didn't want this to turn into a porno shoot!

I've included some pictures of Syd and James laughing while they were playing a digital game that's the equivalent of the Mr. Potato Head Game. They were really having fun. Also, Syd enjoyed playing with some paper dolls that were Disney characters.

TWO MUSIC VIDEOS: Also, you'll see a photo of a rainbow over downtown Austin. During this intense drought it's unusual to see rain here much less see a rainbow. As luck would have it we saw both!

When I spotted it I got The Kids to quickly go outside so that we could get a better look. That's when Syd and James broke into song...something like those 1950's musicals. I included a MUSIC VIDEO of Syd and James' spur of the moment performance like we'd see in "Singin' In The Rain!" Then Syd started doing what I'd call a 'torch singer' version of 'Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.' James felt compelled to join in. Perhaps one day, they'll be singing in their Daddy's popular Lounge!

Love, D2
