‘Sydney & James Shout: Go Longhorns!’

Writer's picture: DeDe WatkinsDeDe Watkins

It's that time of year in Austin when the excitement about the Longhorn Football Team is building. Orange Bloods Sydney & James are ready for the opening game here September 1st against Wyoming!

Sydney loves to play dress up with her trying on lots of Princess gowns but this dress up session was different because James got in the act too! This time The Kids were trying on UT clothes and they were having lots of fun.

As you can tell Syd and James are gorgeous children and are photogenic as well. Even though she's only 4 1/2 Sydney is a natural model. I get her to stand where I think that the pictures will come out the best but it's Syd who decides what kind of a pose she'll take. At times I do remind her to smile...something that I rarely have to do with James because he smiles nearly all of the time.

I want to point out that Syd looks like a real Freshman UT Cheerleader: she's beautiful, buff and very athletic. She certainly has the energy and spirit that those girls have! Syd and James have been doing some gymnastics this Summer. Who knows... we might see them on the field cheering for the Horns sometime when they're teenagers!

You really need to look at a fabulous picture that Mommy Skyler recently took of precious James with his 'powerful sword.' The boy carries it with him nearly everywhere. He sleeps with it, sneaks it into camp and acts as if he's a 'Home Security System' at our house and his! He even stands guard at Sydney's bedroom closet!

Joe Bill and I hope that you're having a wonderful Summer. Luckily, life in Austin is good!

Love, D2

This picture is fabulous. Mommy Skyler recently wrote:

"James goes NOWHERE without his 'powerful sword.' He sleeps with it every night and smuggles it into day camp every morning. He really enjoys holding his sword high above his head declaring, 'By the power of Grey Skull!' (a reference to He-Man TV show) every few minutes."
