There are times when I'm convinced that Sydney Marie Stewart has X-Ray Vision! She seems to be able to know when there's something good inside of a bag WITHOUT having looked in it. The other day she saw a paper sack on the kitchen counter. Syd felt she'd hit the Mother Lode because she'd found a brand new RUBY RED LIPSTICK called True Red #315 by L'oreal Colour Riche. What could be better than that for 'Girlie Girl' Sydney. She ran over to a mirror and started coating her lips as fast as she could. She looked like one of those over-made up women on the 'Housewives of Beverly Hills.' She'd slapped on so much that even Syd thought she'd put on too much. That's when she politely asked Joe Bill to hand her a tissue. Luckily, I got my True Red lipstick back. It's now not anywhere she'll be able to find...X-Ray Vision or not.
Syd and I laugh a lot when it comes to little things. She never misses any detail. When JB and I were at her house one day Syd went to the potty before we headed out. I often try to help her when she's in the bathroom. When we're at public restrooms, like a museum or a restaurant, I always put paper on the toilet seat. That day I was going to put some new paper on their holder. Syd thought that I was planning to put it on her potty seat. In her cute little girl voice she told me: "DeDe, we don't have to do that HERE!" We both laughed when I let Syd know that I was just trying to put some new paper on the holder.
In the photos you’ll see that Syd and James really love each other. They often hug and you can frequently hear James telling his Big Sister that he loves her. They really enjoy playing close to each other and they both love reading lots of books. They’ve become very inventive. The other night before they went to sleep in separate rooms, they got into the same bed, turned off the lights and read by using their blue and yellow flashlights. It’s hard to tell because the flash on my camera lit up the room...but, trust me, those little darlings were having fun in the dark!
I have some shots of Skyler and Syd reading “Barbie's Amazing Makeover.” Syd enjoyed putting pretend lipstick on her gorgeous Mommy and she liked phoning the Palace to say that she’d love to go to the Royal Ball!
We all had lots of laughs when Skyler started tickling James. Before that happened, Syd was showing Mommy strong she is!
Sydney enjoys getting dressed up in fancy ball gowns as well as adorable costumes. This time she put on one her favorites…her vintage pink velvet French Poodle outfit. She came running into the living room to surprise James and Joe Bill. Well, it’s clear that adorable girl is dog gone cute!
