On a recent beautiful afternoon we headed to the Sydney and James Park for an after school picnic. In continuing to Keep Austin Weird in the wake of the ‘bye bye bags’ decision by the Austin City Council, shoppers are suppose to bring their own bags when they go to stores. I’ve bought some colorful HEB ones that Sydney and James wanted to carry.
Sydney and James are so close that at times we think that they act like twins. They’ll hold hands and will snuggle together. They told me that they were ‘nuzzling’ each other. They’re really so cute together.
Now that we’re experiencing 90 degrees plus temperatures it’s warm enough for Syd and James to swim in our pool. Syd thought that wearing a crown would be a great way to show that she’s a Pool Princess. Sweet Meredith White Garner sent Syd an elaborate do it yourself Twinkle Tiaras kit. Syd’s really enjoyed working on her glitzy crown. In her world, she can never have too many tiaras!
Some of our latest ‘Date Nights’ have included Baby Jack. Gigi and Joel have dropped off their nearly 14 month old little darling while they’ve gone out to eat and have picked him up later in the evening. Sydney and James love having Baby Jack come over. I dressed them up like little Super Heroes: Syd was Batgirl while James and Baby Jack were wearing bright Spider-Man Tee shirts. The Kids get along great. Sydney and James are very protective of the baby and enjoy making him laugh.
One of my favorite pictures that I’ve posted today is the one where Baby Jack looks up at Syd in total amazement. He’s not used to having her tower over him. Baby Jack really wasn’t aware that Syd is tall because generally she sits on the ground when she plays with him. I thought that the look on his face was priceless!
