The other day Joe Bill asked James what he wanted for Christmas and the darling 3 year old enthusiastically shot back: “I want swords, guns and knives!”
James has 3 swords at our house. I'm not sure how many he's stockpiled at his but I do know that he took one with him when he went out for lunch yesterday. An interest in knives seems to be shared by Daddy Jimmy, who's had his own knife collection.
Friday evening JB, Sydney, James and I went to Abel's On The Lake, our favorite restaurant. Then we walked next door to see an elaborate Christmas light show. The Kids danced to the music. At one point James showed off his unusual moves and then started dancing like a Child Chippendale Dancer...I must point out that he did keep his clothes on!
At times Syd and James had very different reactions to the light show. One thing that they agreed on was that they both wanted a piece of peppermint candy that JB was holding. The Kids had fun playing chase.
Sydney and James celebrated Hanukkah with us again this year. I lit the candles and let The Kids each have an opportunity to turn on the electric Menorah that had belonged to my Dallas Grandmother Nana Billie.
By the way, I included a Video at the end showing how Princess Sydney dressed to go on a walk around our hilly West Lake Hills neighborhood. Of course, James was carrying his 'Powerful Sword.' She had on a tiara and a cute hot pink Hello Kitty dress. While most little girls would be wearing tennis shoes, flip flops or some kind of boots...not our Sydney. She wore SNOW WHITE HIGH HEELS!
