‘James, Syd, Baby Sam, Jack & Benny Are Having A Fun Fall!’

Writer's picture: DeDe WatkinsDeDe Watkins

Sydney and James are never boring. Friday was no exception. I’ll explain what they did when Joe Bill and I came over to babysit.

Mommy Skyler has The Kids read at least a half hour everyday. James' dilemma was which book to read?

The Dynamic Duo is always animated. Syd made sure that James wasn’t going to read a book that was filled with cartoons!

Most of the time James doesn’t want me to photograph him. That’s why I generally have more pictures of Syd in the Blog than I have of him. You’d think that James was in a Witness Protection Program! But James specifically asked me to post some pictures of him with Baby Sam!

Both Syd and James love their Baby Brother and like taking care of him. Skyler has been sharing her pictures of her adorable Baby Boy. I’ve included some today. By the way, Baby Sam, who’s 3 months old, now weighs 12 pounds. That’s great news!

Jack is a sweet Big Brother too. He loves Benny and Benny loves him. The other day Jack asked me to take some pictures of Benny throwing a ball. Jack was very proud of his little Brother and he wanted everyone to see Benny’s latest accomplishment!

Jack has gone from playing Soccer to now playing Basketball thru the West Austin Youth Association (WAYA.) His Twin Cousins Bauer and Hugh Winstanley are on his team and Mommy Gigi is once again their Coach. Jack and Bauer both had the honor of being named Player Of The Week.

The 5 year old boys don’t know much about Basketball. Remember when actor Tom Hanks made the iconic comment in the hit movie ‘A League of Their Own’ that: “There’s no crying in Baseball!” Well, I overheard one of the parents telling their child: “There’s no TACKLING in Basketball!” That sounds like a good rule to me.

Jack was lucky that his Grandmother Ginger (Nana) and Grandfather Don (Papa) were at his game. Benny was lucky too. He gave Nana a big hug!

The beautiful pictures that I included of Gigi and Joel were taken when they were in Croatia this Summer. They had a wonderful time there and loved being on the Amalfi Coast. It was a great way for them to celebrate their 10th Anniversary!

On the subject of celebrations, with Thanksgiving around the corner, Joe Bill and I hope that you have a safe, healthy and happy Holiday!

Love,
