James is very a sweet child. He idolizes his big sister and is always telling Sydney that he loves her. Sometimes when he’ll try to hug her or kiss her, Syd will just blow him off saying:”Not now, James!” The little guy will look crestfallen when this happens. Joe Bill and I encourage Syd to tell him she loves him or let him hug her.
The other day when we went to their Preschool James, in his darling soft voice, asked me:”Will you please take a picture of Sydney and me together?” I told him: “Of course”…which is something easier said than done.
Some days it’s very difficult to get Sydney to pose for a picture. I generally ultimately end up with a great pic of her but it’s a lot of work getting the shot I want. I’m showing you a number of them so that you can see her body language when I was trying to get the photo that James really really wanted.
The first picture is my favorite but it came after a number of shots where you’ll clearly see Syd’s lack of enthusiasm. She was most annoyed when I asked her to redo a couple of the poses because she had her arm over James’ face. I’m sure that was by accident. I actually love the shots of her pouty face. You’d think that she had an important engagement that she needed to go to and that she didn’t want to waste her time taking pictures. She acted the same way when we were in the back yard and the front yard of James’ classroom.
The good news is that James got the photo he wanted and you get to see some cute shots of the dynamic duo!
