Baby Jack remains happy no matter where he is. He clearly was having fun with Mommy Gigi and Daddy Joel at an engagement party at Abel’s for his Cousin Austin Winstanley (Paige’s Brother-In-Law) and his fiancé Katie. Joe Bill and I had a great time there too. Sydney (5 1/2) and Her Kid Brother James (4) act like they’re 19 month old Baby Jack’s older Sister and Brother. Both Kids are enthusiastic about teaching the little guy things. Syd loves to teach him words and James loves to teach him new skills. When Syd was reading to Jack she thought it was hilarious when he was crawling over her. James jumped right into Jumping Lessons and the baby literally became a Jumping Jack! Sydney has always been able to stay focused when she’s doing something she wants to do. A perfect example: she’s busy brushing Mommy and James’ hair while they’re busy interacting. You’d think that Syd was getting paid for being their hairdresser! Ever since Syd was young she’s enjoyed drawing when she’s at our house. She used Crayons and then quickly graduated to pens. She’s given Joe Bill and me pictures with hearts indicating that she loves us. We treasure these drawings and have some hanging on our fridge. Recently she wrote a note to Jack telling him that she loves him. Now Syd is writing INSTRUCTIONS for JB. I’ve included her note with the pictures that I posted today. JB was getting ready to pick up Jack at his pre school and bring him to our house. Syd wrote these INSTRUCTIONS: “Dear Joe Bill, Please don’t wake up Jack if he’s napping. Don’t forget!” I think that it’s unusual for someone who isn’t even 6 years old to write out INSTRUCTIONS for the adults in her life. We’re sure that Syd’s going to have lots more instructions for us about Jack! Love, D2
