This was a very Happy Easter Sunday and one that none of us will forget.
Gigi and Joel’s healthy and gorgeous Baby Ben was born at 2:12 in the afternoon. Right now we can call him Big Ben because he weighed 8 pounds, 10 ounces and was 21 1/2 inches!
Big Brother Jack was wearing the right clothing for the event. Gigi bought him some miniature doctor scrubs with his name on it. Gorgeous Dr. Jack looked like he could have been a guest star on the popular 1980’s TV show called ‘Doogie Howser, M.D!’
Gigi had been hoping that she’d be able to get into the hospital on Thursday but as luck would have it there wasn’t a room available until Sunday. But having a healthy Holiday baby was special. Gigi’s parents, Ginger and Don, came in from Houston. They’ve been helping out a lot.
Baby Ben likes to sleep all day and to be awake at night. I think that he’s living on Australia time because of his Aussie genes! He’s a beautiful little boy like his big brother. Some feel that Baby Ben looks like what his Daddy Joel looked like when he was an infant. I’ve included a picture so that you can decide for yourself.
Sydney and James haven’t had a chance to meet Baby Ben yet but we’re sure that it’ll be ‘Love At First Sight' just the way all of us feel about that precious little boy.
By the way, when I was taking pictures of Gigi, Joel, Jack and Baby Ben I kept thinking about the popular song: “You Are My Sunshine!” When you see the photos, maybe, you’ll feel the same way!
I’ve posted two Videos of Sydney & James FLYING that Skyler sent me. You must look at both. The Kids are smiling the whole time. Also, the 3rd Video shows Mermaids Sydney and Skyler, who were the first people to swim in our pool this year. As you probably know by now, Sydney is part Polar Bear Cub! The 4th Video is athletic Syd on the monkey bar at our neighborhood park. The 5th one is Syd showing off for Joe Bill, who does a great job taking all the Videos and narrating them.
JB and I feel that we’ve had a very Happy Spring…we hope that it’s the same for you too!
