‘Happy New Year 2014!’

Joe Bill and I hope that you’re having a Happy & Healthy New Year! Luckily, life in Austin is good. I’m going to be sharing some pictures that I took over The Holidays and some other ones that are more recent. Sydney, who turns 6 soon, and James, who’s 4 1/2, sometimes remind us of Twins. They continue to like to stand or sit very close to each other. You’ll see that in the pictures I took in JB’s car. They’re great playmates. It’s easy to spot The Kids when they’re out because they wear such colorful clothing. Syd usually puts together designer Betsy Johnson TYPE of wild and crazy outfits. Lately, she’s been pairing items that she likes. It doesn’t matter to her if the colors match because she’s into bright things. The other day she asked me to find a top for her that had at least 3 colors and it didn’t matter that the colors weren’t the same as the Tutu she was wearing. James generally wears either a Super Hero type Tee shirt or lately I’ve dressed him in some Polo clothes. At times, the adorable little guy looks like he stepped out of a Ralph Lauren magazine ad. I think that it’s cute that both of them frequently wear goulashes. James had his on in the park and Sydney wore hers with her fancy purple dress to JB’s Law Firm Christmas Party. The truth is that we’ve had very little rain in the past year so they haven’t needed to wear goulashes…they’re a fashion statement by the young Fashionistas! Gigi, Joel and Jack are having a wonderful 2014 and were in a great mood Sunday on Aussie Day! In case you’re not lucky enough to be an Aussie, I looked up the origin of Australia Day. The Holiday, which is celebrated each year on January 26th, commemorates the arrival of the 1st Fleet of British Ships at Sydney Cove in 1788. Syd and James frequently play with Baby Jack Melrose, who turns 2 at the end of March. The three of them are so cute together. Syd and James continue to treat him like he’s their baby brother. Jack loved watching Sydney brush her teeth and he enjoyed trying to help James fix Syd’s pink Barbie bus! I think that you’re going to like seeing Syd, James and Jack sweetly telling each other goodbye. Jack and his Mommy Gigi waved as Syd, James and their Mommy Skyler pulled out of our driveway! Love, D2
