Joe Bill and I wish you Happy Easter and Happy Passover!
In a World where there’s so much sadness we hope these pictures of our godchildren and their Parents will brighten your day. Here are some happy moments. Most were taken before the stay at home restrictions were imposed.
Luckily, Jack (8) Benny (4) their Mommy Gigi & Daddy Joel are doing good.
It’s the same for Sydney (12) James (10) and their little Brother Sammy (2) who thinks that he’s 10! Their Mommy Skyler & Daddy Jimmy are well too.
Because I’m a Type One Diabetic, I haven’t left our house and yard since Saturday, March 14th, which is fine. JB has been staying home too. We feel very sorry for all the people who are hurting physically, emotionally and financially.
The majority of the pictures I’ve included were taken before Austin was essentially shut down. Some were shot by Skyler while she, Jimmy and The Kids have been staying at home.
Because all of our godchildren love Easter I decorated our house very early this year.
Jack and Benny love reading the popular Peter Rabbit Books that include the original art and stories by Beatrix Potter. “The Tale of Peter Rabbit” was created in 1893! The books were published between 1902 and 1918 and remain some of the best selling children’s books of all time.
Jack is a very good reader. We love it when he reads to us and Benny. One day he was having a hard time pronouncing some of the words, which is unusual for Jack. It turned out that the book was written in German!
I like the pictures of Joel at the gym where Benny had attached himself to his Daddy’s arm. Then the little guy went under a chair in between some tennis shoes and was smiling while I took his picture! I included a pic Gigi sent us of her and Benny. As you can tell Benny loves to be photographed!
I think that the pictures I took of Syd, James and Sammy probably need the most explanation. The Kids consider Jack and Benny to be part of their Family. Joel is an Aussie citizen because that’s where he was born. Last year Jack and Benny became Aussie citizens too. Ever since Syd’s been young I’ve always taken pictures of her wearing Australian tee shirts. This one, in fact, was a gift from Gigi and Joel. They gave Sydney a Sydney tee shirt after they got back from a trip there!
I thought that it would be fun for Syd, James and Sammy to be reading some books about Australia when I snapped their pictures. First, I started with a children’s book about Kangaroos. Then I handed Syd and James “Charles & Diana’s First Royal Tour” which was to Australia in 1983.
You need to look at the FACES THAT JAMES WAS MAKING as I was taking his picture. It’s clear when Syd and James had enough of my Photo Shoot!!!!
JB and I think that it’s great that Skyler regularly sends out pictures of Sammy that often include Syd and James. I love the sweet picture of her reading to Sammy!
Daddy Jimmy, who’s a great cook, has put together a Cooking Show on YouTube. It’s something that he’s always wanted to do. Syd is his Producer, Photographer and Editor. I included a picture Skyler took showing Syd Videotaping the Show in their kitchen!
The 3 bathroom photos made us laugh.
Skyler’s caption was: “She came in through the bathroom window…What she was doing on the roof, I can’t say.”
I wrote: “This appears to be the first time that Sweet Sammy realized that his Big Sister is a ‘Cat Burglar!’ Be sure to notice the great shot of Syd in pic #3 where you can see her climbing on the roof if you look closely at the round mirror hanging over the tub!”
