Even though it’s 121 days until Christmas, Sydney Marie Stewart is already thinking about what Old St. Nick should bring her. The other day Joe Bill overheard Syd and James talking about what they wanted for Christmas. Syd asked James what he’d like, but the little guy wouldn’t tell her. Syd promptly announced: “If you don’t tell me, then Santa won’t know what to get you!” Syd feels that she must keep tabs on her Kid Brother at all times. When JB asked 5 1/2 year old Syd what SHE wants, she quickly answered:”A DRIVER’S LICENSE!” When I heard that, I asked her what kind of car does she want. Without blinking an eye…Syd said: “A LIMOUSINE!” Syd is a strategic thinker. In the past, she’s let me know that she’d love to have a real life pink Barbie car like the ones she plays with. She told me she did have a problem because she didn’t know HOW to get anywhere! I decided that I wouldn’t tell her about GPS Tracking Devices! This week we’ve been having a great time at ‘Camp Watkins.’ We always have fun when they’re off from school and can hang out with us. Life here consists of lots of colorful and challenging new books, swimming as much as possible and generally lounging around. Baby Jack, who’s 17 months old now, came over to play. Syd and James, who are always fascinated by bugs, found a tiny harmless one on our floor. The Kids laughed and laughed as they tried to keep up with it. Baby Jack jumped right in. He was a fearless Entomologist like Syd and James. At one point James thought the bug had jumped down his shirt so he was taking his clothes off as fast as he could! Baby Jack loves the singing toys that we have at our house. I’ve included pictures showing him trying to figure out how all that music comes out of one cute little bunny! Gigi and Joel’s baby boy did a great job of keeping up with the older children, but he was ready for a nap at the end of the day! Syd was very excited when I allowed her to have temporary tattoos on her cheeks on the last day of camp. I know that Mommy and Daddy would have said yes. Sydney loves getting extra workouts with Mommy. She thinks it’s great when Mommy holds her upside down. I’ve included 2 swim VIDEOS. Number One shows Syd and Daddy doing tricks in the pool. Number Two shows a swim stroke that Syd has invented. It’s called the ‘Sydney Shimmy.’ When Syd was taking dance lessons her ‘signature move’ was doing a shoulder shimmy. She’s now taken that talent to the pool! Syd’s a graceful and strong swimmer…who is a gorgeous little mermaid! Love, D2
