Sydney and James are preschool Hotties...they’re both so cute. I’ve noticed that the little girls in James’ class have been trying to get his attention. Most of them are the quiet type and rarely say a word…which is quite the opposite of James, who’s a real chatterbox. When Joe Bill and I pick up James, several of the little girls come over to me. Usually they’re handing me something that belongs to James, such as his jacket, for example. I feel like they’re hoping that I’ll put in a good word for them with James!
I must say James’ potty training has taken a setback. I think that he likes playing at our house and doesn’t want to stop what he’s doing in order to go to the potty. I’ve noticed that he hasn’t peed on JB’s favorite couch lately but he now has chosen our tile floor as the place to have his ‘accidents.’
The other day I asked Syd if she had any suggestions to help with this problem. She recommended that we put towels all over our floors! Once again the girl’s showing off her ability as a Strategic Thinker!
I’ve come up with one way to tackle the problem. The next time The Kids come over I’m going to offer each of them a little present from the dollar store if James pees in the potty and not on our floor or on our furniture. I’m going to give something to James and to Syd at the end of the day if he doesn’t have any ‘accidents’ at our house. I’m guessing Syd will carry James to the potty if she thinks that’ll help her get a toy! I’ll let you know how my plan works out.
I’ve included pictures of Syd and Skyler playing together. Lucky for me, not only are they both gorgeous but they’re very photogenic. They seem to be having as much fun as a barrel of monkeys! Later that afternoon Jimmy was giving Syd and James some cooking lessons. I also have some shots of Syd showing off some items from an art project we were doing. The decorative note card and the stencil she’s holding up certainly match her darling dress. She really looks cute cuddling her stuffed animal right before she went to sleep.
I’ve posted some pictures that I took in 2010. It’s clear to see that Syd and James love their family members.
Skyler's new company recognized her star quality as soon as they hired her. They sent her on a 10 day business trip to Europe shortly after she started working there. Great Grandmother B.A. (Bebet), Grandfather Lan (TaTa), Grandmother Adele (Dell), and Aunt Kendall came to visit while Skyler was gone. James was a little under the weather but Sydney was in rare form. On a different day Grandmother Mary Ann (Ama) spent some time with The Kids. I’ve also included shots of Grandmother Lynne (BeBe) at Sydney’s 2nd birthday, plus some pictures of godparents Joe Bill and me.
Love, D2
